.so launch starts from 1st November 2010, involving a
multi-phase plan to ensure for the stable
and orderly distribution of domains. The Launch has three core stages:

Sunrise 1st November 2010 - 30th November 2010:
In Sunrise phase, Between 1st November 2010 to
30th November 2010, any trademark -
obtained with a registered status on or before 1st January 2010 - may apply for a .so domain.
These trademarks need to be registered in a trademark office or registry that corresponds to a
state or entity described in the WIPO Standard ST.3 code. This allows companies to apply for
their desired domain or domains and secure their trademarks. Only the first validated application
is allocated to the .CO.NO domain. The applied domain name should be EXACT MATCH to Trademark.
At the end of the phase, all domains that have only one application are
immediately allocated and registered for 3 (three) years. Multiple applications
made under the same domain name or any interest in matching domains will go to Sunrise Auction:

Sunrise Auction 1st December 2010 to 15th
December 2010
The .so Domain registry will contact the applicant directly for the Auction Information and Schedule Timetable by email.

Landrush 16th December 2010, UTC 00:00 to 9th
February 2011 UTC 23:59:
Landrush takes place from the middle of December through early of February 2010,
and will be open to anyone interested in registering domain names of high commercial value.
Any interest in matching domains will go to Landrush Auction:

Landrush Auction: start from 10th February 2010
The .so Domain registry will contact the applicant directly for the Auction Information
and Schedule Timetable by email.

General Availability 1st March 2011:
Once the Sunrise and Landrush processes are completed, .so domains will become available
to anyone in the world. .so domains will be available to the public based on the chronological
order of registrations on a first come, first served basis.
